About us

Our journey

Nubovi (short for nubo vidi, which means "cloud see" in the artificial language Esperanto) was started by Gijs in 't Veld and Derrick Bakhuis in early 2022. We have built a team of highly motivated people that brought us where we are right now: ready to serve our customers with our cloud spend monitoring and management SaaS solution. In the early days it was all about brainstorming our product ideas, determining our target personas and developing our company values, being: "Customer value is always no. 1", "Keep it simple, stupid" and "Building self-learning and self-maintaining software". After that we started working with Maurice Somers, a brilliant graphical designer who, together with us, in a very agile manner designed our logo, came up with our colors and styling and developed our brand guide. In the meantime we created our solution architecture, hired a very talented UX designer and started developing the back-end and front-end of our solution. After successfully completing the beta testing phase of our Microsoft Azure focused solution at several SMB and Enterprise customers we are now ready for taking on the world; we've launched our product at the end of 2023! We are really thankful for the opportunity we got with them. Soon, support for the Microsoft SaaS solutions will be added, so that you can manage and monitor your entire Microsoft IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud usage. We are very much looking forward to this journey and helping you gain better insights in cloud spend, improve your cloud ROI and become more successful!

Gijs in 't Veld | CEO

Gijs started Nubovi in January 2022. Before that he was the co-founder and CTO at the Microsoft Gold Partner Motion10 (2008-2021) and prior to that he was the co-founder and CTO at the B2B integration software company Covast (1995-2007). He has helped many organizations with their cloud strategy and ROI.

Derrick Bakhuis | CTO

Derrick is the co-founder of Nubovi. He has more than 6 years of experience in data science and building modern Azure based dataplatforms as a consultant & engineer. He’s a Microsoft MCSE & MCSA in database management, analytics & data science and a certified Databricks developer.
